
Daedalum Films is a collaborative team of independent filmmakers with a shared vision to produce quality film and video content in mainland China.
Luis A. Tapia
Director and Presenter
Originally from Mexico, Luis was raised and educated in the United States. He holds a degree in East Asian Studies from Princeton University, where he focused on Chinese studies. He has six years’ experience in China, and has traveled extensively throughout the country. A principal of Daedalum Films, Luis has acted, directed, and written for the screen. His feature film screenplay Furnaces is currently in development. He directed the 27-minute short film adaptation, Furnaces: Act One. In addition to directing the short-form version of Holdem China, Luis conducted inter-views and assisted camera operation on the documentary Yushan Island. He speaks fluent English, Spanish, and Mandarin Chinese, as well as basic French.

Hailing from France, Arnaud has lived in several countries including the United States, Germany, Japan, and now China. He holds a degree in Finance from Boston’s Northeastern University. A principal of Daedalum Films, Arnaud has experience writing, directing, and acting for the screen. He produced and starred in the independent feature Burial of the Rats, shot on location in Tokyo, Japan, produced and assisted with camera operation on Furnaces: Act One and Yushan Island, and directed photography on the Holdem China short documentary. He also has several feature film scripts in development, including The Calling. He directed the short-form documentary Driver Zhou, currently in post-production. Arnaud speaks fluent French, English, German, Japanese, and intermediate Mandarin Chinese.
